PORTLAND, Ore. — Portland business leader Todd DeNeffe has been named the new chair of the Providence Child Center board of directors. He has been a member of the foundation board for nine years.
Providence Child Center offers a variety of services for children and houses the only pediatric residential nursing center of its kind in the Pacific Northwest. DeNeffe’s awareness of and familiarity with Providence Child Center was a result of his father’s involvement with the organization. But DeNeffe says that the extreme and growing need on the part of families for resources for severely disabled kids is growing.
“My goal as board chair is to maintain and expand the high quality of care that the children receive at Providence Center for Medically Fragile Children, and at other child development programs such as Providence Wee Care and Providence Montessori School,” said DeNeffe. “I would like to help expand outreach and resources for families who are caring for their children with complex needs at home.”
DeNeffe formed Cascade Commercial Real Estate in 1998 after working with Grubb & Ellis for 12 years. Cascade Commercial provides brokerage representation and consultation to local, regional and national companies. The firm also works with individual and family investors.
In addition to his commitment to Providence Child Center, DeNeffe sits on the City of Portland’s Bicycle Advisory Committee and works with Loaves and Fishes. He has participated in several short-term city committees involving real estate and planning issues, and is a former board member of the Portland-Sapporo Sister City Association.
DeNeffe is a third generation Portlander. He attended Jesuit High School, Santa Clara University and the University of Oregon. He lives in Southwest Portland with his wife, Kim, and their three children.
